To start the summer, Thomas offers us a stay on the Normandy coast.
Saturday, June 28th
We all meet on the pebble beach of Etretat. The municipality has reserved us the parking at the bottom of the cliff allowing beautiful aerial photos for those who had the courage to climb to the top.
The afternoon begins with a visit to Clos Lupin, a house that once belonged to Maurice Leblanc and the inspiration for many of Arsène Lupin's adventures, notably "L'Aiguille creuse". Converted into a museum, the house reveals the life of the author and the adventures of Arsène in a special atmosphere.
Let's leave the Clos Lupin to go to Le Havre, because the boat won't be waiting for us.
After reaching the north of Le Havre by the coastal road, we will use the tramway for practical reasons. We embark on a guided tour of the port. Thanks to the captain's knowledge of the area, the really impressive giant container carriers seen up close will no longer hold any secrets for us.
Sunday June 29th
Weather is not on our side. The scheduled stopover at the Normandy Bridge in the rain and wind will cool most crews. Hearts will warm up at the Manoir d'Apreval we visit before enjoying a good meal on site, typically Norman.
The opportunity for many of us to bring back memories (cider, liqueurs and jams...)
