Sylvie, Patrick and Jean-Claude played again for the third meeting of the Amicale Avantime in the Nord Pas de Calais region.

Saturday, September 28th

The festivities begin with lunch at the French fry hut! Patrick was so keen on it "because it's part of the Ch'ti heritage" that we couldn't refuse him. In the afternoon, we split into two groups to dive into the Boves (the cellars and galleries under City Hall) while the other climbs up the belfry, the ideal place to admire the 360° panorama and take unusual views of our Avantime. Then follows a free area used to shop or drink a beer before the first drops gently push us towards the hotel.
At dinner, Francis wins the DVD player put into play at lunchtime.

Sunday 29 September

No sleeping in! Direction the museum of Louvre Lens, recently opened to discover its collections. An interactive guide allows us to explore the rooms at our own pace. The stay ends at Domaine de la Chartreuse with a gourmet meal.
