This weekend was held the general meeting of the Amicale Avantime in the Nord region which gave rise at the same time to a meeting programmed on these 2 days.
Prepared for 5 months, 43 members have been present for all or part of the weekend following their availability.
The rendez-vous was held in the parking lot of the RENAULT DOUAI factory and we thank its director and the Communication Manager for their permission.
Once the crews present, we left, under the sun, towards the museum of the mine of Lewarde, the largest museum of its kind in France and the first visited place in the region.
Guided by former miners, the visit of a gallery reconstructing the evolution of coal mining from 1900 to the closure of the mines, delighted the participants.
After some pictures of our ships, departure to the hotel to refresh a little.
Then, gathered in the vehicles, departure towards the city center of Lille for some nocturnal photos of the group representing nearly 90 people, and walk in the pedestrian streets until the Grand Place where everyone could admire the monuments (Voix du Nord , Belfry, old stock exchange, Opera ...).
The evening meal was planned in the largest restaurant in Lille, OMNIA, former cinema (erotic) where, in a great atmosphere, everyone was able to discover other enthusiasts of this extraordinary vehicle.


Sunday, April 1st

After a well deserved night, the convoy of about thirty Avantime took the road to Cambrai where was planned the general meeting and the meal.
The chosen site was Château de la Motte-Fenelon.
Take pictures in the park, then go to the serious things for members and visit Cambrai for their spouses and children, guided through the city by a member.
The meeting made it possible to appoint a new board of directors with a larger number given the current number of members in our association (more than 100).
After a celebratory cocktail on the one hand the birthday of our treasurer and co creator of the association and on the other hand the work done by the outgoing president, himself co creator of the Amicale and always member of the Board, the meal was served there also in an excellent atmosphere.
It was then time to leave for those who had a long way to go and time to finish the weekend at a café in Cambrai for others.
